This is the last year this bike is
being hand made in the United States
(2010 models are being made in the far East with lower level
components).
Specifications, geometry,
and actual list price ($1699) are
here at this official Cannondale link (opens in new tab/window).
This bike was set-up by Cannondale with a Shimano road crankset, and is
exceptionally designed to excel for commuting and cyclocross racing as
well. Carbon fork and CAAD9 Optimo aluminum frame (about 20 pounds
total). This bike's equipment varies from the Cannondale web site as
follows:
-
Higher level (105/Ultegra
grade) Shimano compact road crankset (wider gear range) replaces FSA
Gossomer
-
Higher level Cannondale
brakeset replaces Tektro Oryx brakeset
This bike is new and only test
riden on paved roads (no trails, races, etc). Professionally assembled, set
up, tested, and adjusted. There is a very minor (1/8" x 1/32") scratch (we
could not photograph) on the top tube. This is a great bike that was
carefully researched and just bought new, but due to a previous Achilles
injury that has not healed, this opportunity now exists.
Cannondale CAAD9 frame sizes run very large. The owner is 5'11" and this
52cm frame is a perfect fit, and we are told will be great for most males
from about 5'10" - 6'0" tall.
We prefer to sell this bike locally
(Philadelphia, PA area) so you can personally see and test it, but will
consider interested buyers in the 48 continental United States only.
